23 Labor Day Recipes: Burgers, Dips, Sides & More

It’s unreal that the official end of summer is almost here — Labor Day!

For the holiday, I decided to round up and repost a lot of my Fourth of July recipes content, since it’s all geared toward grilling, and that’s what many of us will be doing this coming weekend!

In addition, I wanted to share my step mom’s Bacon Cheese Dip recipe with you (pictured), which I blogged about for Parade in honor of the holiday. As I said in my Parade blog, it’s the perfect Labor Day appetizer dip because it offers a hint of fall, football-season flavor, while still being a great summertime dip. Give it a try!

Here are some other ideas….

For the grill:

Check out my Ultimate Hamburger Helper: 6 Burger Recipes post, which features my healthy recipe for Chicken Burgers, along with several other patty-and-bun treats, like The Ultimate Umami Burger (White on Rice Couple) and Black Bean Sliders with Creamy California Avocado Sauce (Cookin’ Canuck).

On the side:

If you haven’t tried my Spicy Corn on the Cob recipe yet this summer, you must! It’s a unique way of preparing your corn and your guests will love it, especially if they like a bit of spice!

To complement your burger and your corn, I’d also suggest trying out one of the 10 fun and fresh summer salads I posted about earlier this summer. These are especially good options if you’re heading to a cookout and don’t want to arrive empty handed. Whip up my Strawberry and Goat Cheese Salad, my Remixed Caprese Salad with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, my Easy Macaroni Salad with Herb Garden Vinaigrette, or one of the other 7 summer salads listed.

To drink:

To wash everything down, I’d suggest checking out one of the four iced tea recipes listed in my Homemade Iced Tea Recipes Roundup, or mixing up my recipe for Jungle Juice. All are great for a warm summer day!

How are you planning to spend Labor Day weekend? I hope it’s a great one!
