Hi all. It’s been kind of crazy lately; sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. We just got Internet and cable the other day, so now I am back! The big move to our new house has been going well so far. We have painted our bedroom, but my office is still under construction, and so is the kitchen.
We have also had a few hiccups in making dinners here in the new home, since the kitchen is very old (it was built in 1953!). And some of the kitchen appliances are very old as well, such as the oven. The stove top is not as old, but it doesn’t work, and the tiny built-in oven’s temperature gauge is very off. So, due to these hiccups, we have gotten pretty crafty with our cooking. The Crock-pot and microwave have become our only heat source!
We will be re-doing the entire kitchen over the month of September. I can’t wait to have my kitchen back, but until then, we are finding our kitchenability. We decided to make one of my favorite slow cooker recipes the other night — chicken chili. It took me no time at all, and was easy to clean up.
As we re-do the kitchen, our space and appliances will be limited. So, please share your space-limited recipes! I’d love to hear from you.
