Head to Handsome Biscuit in Norfolk, VA!
I have come to find more and more that Norfolk, VA, a city nearby my hometown of Virginia Beach, has some of the best little spots to eat.
Recently, after a long day of presenting to young 15 and 16 year olds at Granby High School, I stopped by a tiny little place called Handsome Biscuit. It was quirky, unique, and affordable. It was also very delicious. They offer all scratch-made items, and everything is served on a sweet potato biscuit.
There are only three tables inside, but it’s constantly busy, with people lined up and some sitting outside as well. I was lucky enough to snag a table inside.
Its fun, hipster-like feel, and personable employees made it an awesome lunch!
I ordered what was called the “Stevie.” It was only $5.50 and had fried chicken, pickles, whole grain mustard, and honey — all served on a sweet potato biscuit. It was delish.
If you’re looking for an affordable lunch, this is the way to go!
