Wedding & Honeymoon Update + Introducing Mrs. Nisa Burns Cochran!
We are back from the wedding, back from the honeymoon, and back to reality. It was truly the best time of our lives. It was thrilling to see all of our friends and family and to marry my best friend!
To start, the wedding day was a blast! It was everything and more that I had envisioned. The vows made us cry, the speeches were so touching, the music kept everyone on the dance floor, the food was delicious, the photo booth was so much fun, and the booze flowed till the end of the night! It was so us.
The ceremony was incredibly personal. I felt beautiful and glamorous! Also, seeing Billy for the first time was extraordinary. I felt so many emotions that I had never felt before. Our venue, Lesner Inn Catering Club, was absolutely beautiful. We experienced 30 to 50 mile-per-hour winds and a slight sand storm, but they handled it all so well — as did my photographer and wedding coordinator.
The honeymoon was equally as amazing. We went to Antigua and it was truly breathtaking. We ate at so many amazing restaurants, and took a bite out of the local cuisine as well. We got to know the chefs at the resort we stayed at, which was Blue Waters. They were from England and they really put a little taste of England in their cuisine. We did so much, from snorkeling off of a little sail boat, kayaking, and checking out the local spots in Antigua, to admiring the views of the beaches — all while drinking the local beer and rum along the way. The culture, the people, the food, and the stay were more than we had ever hoped for.
Now that we are back to reality, I plan on recreating some of my favorite dishes that I had in Antigua, one of which was a classic jerk chicken sandwich! So, stay tuned…
Well, now we are married and I am officially Mrs. Nisa Burns Cochran. So, what is next? A new bathroom is definitely in order — along with a few other house renovations!
