Apple Crescent Rolls

Ingredients
For the rolls:
  • 2 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 container crescent dough
For the topping:
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to temperature specified on crescent dough package.
  2. In a large sauté pan, place 3 Tbsp butter, sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Allow to simmer for 5-10 min on medium heat, till butter and brown sugar have melted and apples are soft.
  3. Peel crescent rolls apart where dough is perforated. Place a few cooked apples in the center of each roll. Roll up gently. Place each roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Rub about 1 tsp of butter on top of each roll. This will help the cinnamon-sugar topping stick.
  5. Mix the cinnamon and sugar for the topping together and sprinkle the mixture on top of each roll.
  6. Bake rolls according to package instructions.
