Heart Healthy Whiskey Ginger Grilled Salmon Recipe

Today we are sharing with you a salmon recipe in honor of February being National Heart Month.

Adding salmon into your diet is a great way to help your heart, since it is packed with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids, protein and vitamin D. Salmon also increases cardiovascular benefits by lowering cholesterol and decreasing fatal cardiovascular incidents, making it an extra excellent protein alternative.

We were sent the following recipe to share from the National Salmon Council, whose mission is to promote salmon as a high-quality, healthy and delicious fish, and to encourage more Americans to add salmon into their weekly eating habits, since it has so many heart health benefits.

The recipe they shared with us is for Whiskey Ginger Grilled Salmon, courtesy of Kristen Doyle of Dine & Dish. It’s a rich and flavorful preparation, without being too heavy. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
