Simple Summertime Jungle Juice Recipe
Whether you’re gearing up for a big backyard BBQ or just looking to kick back with a fruity refreshment (with a kick), this jungle juice recipe mixes up the perfect, cool cupful for any summertime occasion.
If you’re not familiar with jungle juice, Wikipedia offers a pretty solid definition:
“Most jungle juice mixtures contain large quantities of hard alcohol mixed with a variety of fruit juices… It is often an inexpensive means of getting many people intoxicated at parties.”
Now, this recipe still packs a punch, but I like to make my jungle juice with a more moderate amount of alcohol, along with fresh fruit juice and fruit slices, so that it’s less potent and more enjoyable. Also, it’s often a good idea to make a second mixture minus the alcohol to provide a virgin version for your guests, too.
It’s a fun, colorful concoction that’s perfect for the season. Just fill a cup with ice and enjoy one (small) ladle full at a time.
Note: This recipe is featured in Kitchenability 101 and was published to my blog at Parade Magazine.
