Indulgent Foods: 3 Treats I Have to Eat
We all have our weaknesses with food. You know, those certain foods that no matter how many calories they have, you simply must eat.
The trick for me is to not eliminate these foods just because they’re unhealthy and high in calories. Instead, I just try to focus on enjoying them in moderation, which is sometimes easier said than done!
But, seriously, it’s important to treat ourselves and to dive in and enjoy life, so my suggestion is to identify what your favorite food weaknesses are, and then to try and consciously weave them into your life in a balanced and as-under-indulgent-as-possible way.
My top three treats right now are:
1. Delivery Pizza. I love pizza — especially after a long work week. I like to pair my pizza with a cold root beer and a good movie. Now, that’s a good night!
2. Oreo cookies. I rarely have these delicious little sweet treats in the house for one reason…you can’t just eat one of them!!! I love them, especially dipped in peanut butter. Mmmm…
3. Martinis. Now that I’m 22, these seem very Sex and the City, sophisticated and classy. Having a good martini is an experience.
