Spend Your Money on Experiences

As many of you know, I have been quite the busy bee lately!

I’m taking on a lot at work — working hard to help build an extremely successful HS program. Besides that, my husband and I are finding time in our busy, everyday lives to have a few experiences together.

I read this article the other day about spending money on experiences and not things, and it really moved me.

We try our best to have a date night here and there, and recently I went to NY alone to have my own fun experience with one of my long-time best friends. And, we went to a Matt and Kim concert, which was truly a life experience. Then, the other night, we out for trivia night with a big group of people at a local brewery/restaurant. There was laughter, fun, beer, and great food. Who could ask for more?

We don’t have children yet, and I know a lot of this type of carefree fun will slow down tremendously when we start a family (whenever that may be), so until then, we are soaking up all the experiences we can get our hands on.

We try very hard not to spend money on things that we honestly don’t need. If we want to have fun, we want an experience!

What type of experiences do you love to spend your money on?
