It’s National Blueberry Month!

But, blueberries are in season all summer long, so it’s a good time to be thinking about how you can incorporate them into as many recipes as possible.

I’ve already blogged about several recipes that feature the nutritionally beneficial blueberry:

Super Blueberry Smoothie Recipe: Blueberries are an excellent antioxidant and a great addition to almost any morning meal. If I’m not sprinkling them on top of my oatmeal, I’m blending them up into a breakfast smoothie, like this one.

Fruity Pancakes: I love adding berries into my pancake batter, especially blueberries. Here’s a berry-licious pancake breakfast recipe I blogged about for Parade Magazine. It’s also featured in Kitchenability 101.

Blueberry Lemon Ice Cream: This is my most recent blueberry-laden concoction, which I (again) blogged about for Parade. It’s also National Ice Cream month, so this recipe is pretty much tailor-made for the month of July!

For more blueberry recipe ideas, here are some other tasty ideas I found while poking around on the Web:

Maple Blueberry Scones (Joy the Baker)

Gluten-Free Blueberry Crisp (Living on the Fault Lines)

Blueberry Refrigerator Jam (Recipe Girl)

Blueberry Crumb Bars (smitten kitchen)

No-Bake Blueberry Truffle Tartlets (love & olive oil)

Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Cookies (Hot Polka Dot)

Blueberry Biscuits (Pink Pistachio)

Blueberry Bellini Cocktail Recipe (Cookin’ Canuck)

Let me know if you try any! How are you celebrating the blueberry this month?
