My fiancé turned 25 on Tuesday, February 11, and for his birthday I decided to make one of his favorite things in the whole wide world: homemade banana pudding.
Now, mind you, I don’t have a banana pudding recipe just lying around. My “gram,” my step-mom’s mother, makes an amazing homemade banana pudding, but I wasn’t able to get my hands on her recipe in the short time I had to make it for his birthday.
So, I decided to visit allrecipes.com, which is one of my favorite recipe websites, to see what I could find. It did not take long to find the recipe for banana pudding I chose to make. It had over 900 reviews and 5 stars, plus it was simple, easy, and delicious — a true Kitchenability staple if you ask me!!
I decided to make the pudding when I got off of work around 4pm on Tuesday, and hoped I would have enough time before he came home at 5pm to get it done. Thankfully, the recipe didn’t take long at all to make, plus the instructions were super easy to follow.
The result: It tasted amazing! It was so creamy, yummy and delicious! I am totally trying this recipe again. I added banana slices to mine in layers to mix it up a bit, but you may do whatever you feel like.
Great recipe. Great birthday.
