Recently I decided to explore a new endeavor in my life.
On top of cooking, blogging and managing Kitchenability’s day-to-day, I decided to tackle a part-time job at a gourmet grocery and sandwich shop called TASTE Unlimited here in Virginia Beach. I have been making the sandwiches there and loving it. The people I work with are great and it gets me out of the office a few days a week! I haven’t been heading out on book tours as much recently, so it’s been something new and fun to tackle that’s close to home.
The other day I visited one of TASTE’S locations in Norfolk, VA, checked out the corporate offices and met the owners, the Pruden family. It was pretty crazy to see all that goes into running a successful family-run business. They have six locations in the Hampton Roads area, and they are all doing very well.
As a budding entrepreneur myself, the Pruden family is incredibly inspiring.
Life throws you curve balls and right now I’m juggling many. This is a fun new chapter that I believe will teach me so much more.
I am excited and a little nervous, but overall feeling good.
I will keep you posted on my journey and all the crazy stops along the way! And, if you’re in the area, stop on by and visit me. I’ll make you a sandwich!
