Happy Holidays from Kitchenability!
We all could use some help jump-starting our holiday shopping. And a helpful list of great gift ideas never hurts! So, I decided to compile the following holiday gift guide for cooks…with style.
I’ve included some of my favorite cookware and kitchen gadgets, all of which are especially good for new cooks. And, I also included some of my favorite all-around everyday items as well — from clothes and linens to tools and TV shows.
Of course, I also hope everyone buys a copy of the Kitchenability 101 cookbook for either themselves or a loved one this holiday season, too. ![]()
1. Columbia Fleece Jacket: I wear mine all the time during the winter. It is so soft and warm. It is probably one of the best investments I have made in my wardrobe — it’s a little pricey, but will last you many years! It is also great quality!
2. Macy’s Hotel Collection Bath Towels: We put these amazing towels on our registry for our wedding and they are the softest and coziest towels ever. We love these towels!
3. Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel 10-pc. Cookware Set: I love these pots and pans! They are great and have a non-stick coating. I also love that both the pots and the pans come in a variety of sizes. And, who can resist their amazing bright orange color!
4. TOMS Shoes: They are so comfy and their one-for-one mission is amazing. When you buy a pair of TOMS shoes, one pair goes to a child in need.
5. Maxi Dresses: I wore these all over Antigua when we went on our honeymoon. They’re great because you can dress them up and down, and they are super comfy and stylish!
6. OXO Good Grips Locking Tongs with Nylon Heads: One of the best things about these tongs is that they have nylon heads, which means they’re safe for use with non-stick cookware. Get some tongs! They are an essential item in my kitchen.
7. Shun Fuji 6″ Chef’s Knife with Stand: Truly the best knife I have ever used! My husband and I got this as a gift from Monkey C Media for our wedding. It was off the registry, but truly the best surprise ever. I use it every time I cook. It’s worth the price, because it will last you many years if you take care of it properly, and it’s one of the best-made knives I know of.
8. Moroccan Oil: Truly amazing stuff! I use their shampoo and conditioner regularly, along with the oil. The oil is awesome for your scalp! I put it in my hair after I get out of the shower and it not only smells great, but it also helps keep you hair healthy and smooth!
9. Arrow TV Series: I am not usually into shows like these, but Arrow had me seriously hooked from episode 1. I loved seasons 1 and 2, and I believe season 3 is airing now on TV. It’s a show my husband and I can agree on and it’s filled with suspense, action and drama!
10. Touchscreen Gloves: I absolutely hate having to take my gloves off during the winter when I have to check my phone. With these gloves, you can keep you fingers nice and warm, while still being able to text and answer a phone call on your smartphone.
How about you? I’d love to hear about some of the items on your Christmas wish list in the comments section below!
