It’s unreal that the official end of summer is almost here — Labor Day!

For the holiday, I decided to round up and repost a lot of my Fourth of July recipes content, since it’s all geared toward grilling, and that’s what many of us will be doing this coming weekend!

In addition, I wanted to share my step mom’s Bacon Cheese Dip recipe with you (pictured), which I blogged about for Parade last year, in honor of the holiday. Celebrate National Lemonade Day (August 20) with this cool blueberry lemonade recipe — spiked with a shot of vodka!

First, you’ll want to prep your fresh blueberries by freezing some overnight. Then, when you mix your beverage, the blueberries will act as mini ice cubes, without watering down your drink. Genius!

Now that we’re heading into the dog days of summer, I thought it was time to round up a helpful and refreshing list of some of my favorite summer drinks.

Jalapeño Hamburger Sliders Recipe

The jalapeños in these sliders give what might otherwise be a traditional recipe more kick and flavor. I usually deseed my jalapeños, but you can always leave a few in if you want to make the recipe spicier.

Another trick I like is to grate and mix the cheese in with the meat; the result is a much juicier burger than you’d get by placing a slice of cheese on top. (more…)
