Sometimes it’s hard to remember to eat healthy foods in the mornings. Especially when you’re running around trying to get out of the house to get to school or to work on time. But, and I know you aren’t hearing it here first, eating a nutritious breakfast is extremely important.
So, I’ve been trying to up the healthiness quotient of my mornings lately.
My breakfast du jour nowadays is a big bowl of plain oats topped with a variety of fresh fruit from the farmer’s market. It is delicious! And it’s really easy to make. Just add some water to your oats (following the water-to-oats ratio instructions on the container) and cook them up either on the stove top or in your microwave. Then, slice up some fresh fruit (whatever you have on hand) and toss it on top.
It’s a quick, healthy and filling way to start the day. Also, did you know that October 29 is National Oatmeal Day? Well, it is, so eat up! ![]()
